The Government of Buryatia signed four agreements on cooperation at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The delegation will continue their work today.

St. Petersburg is hosting the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum with the participation of politicians, businessmen and leading experts from all over the world. The delegation of the republic headed by Aleksey Tsydenov takes part in the event.

Yesterday, on May 24th, the Government of the Republic concluded four agreements at the forum. For example, agreed to cooperate for the protection of Lake Baikal and the development of the Baikal nature territory with the Fund for Support of Applied Environmental Research and Development called “Lake Baikal” (Moscow).

Within the framework of the agreement between the republic and VTB Bank the parties intend to develop cooperation in the implementation of economic, investment and social policies in the republic including the introduction of modern banking technologies and infrastructure, cooperation in the implementation of priority projects and programs.

An agreement was concluded on cooperation for the development of transport, logistics and engineering infrastructure in the republic with the Russian RailwaysJSC and SG-transJSC. It is planned to create a terminal and logistics center at the Taltsy railway station within the framework of this agreement.

Aleksey Tsydenov also signed an agreement on cooperation with Alexander Stuglev- Director of the Roskognress Fund, and Vladimir Gruzdev- Chairman of the Board of the National Public Organization Association of Lawyers of Russia. The agreement is aimed at developing cooperation in the sphere of investment attractiveness and export potential improvement of Buryatia in general, as well as promoting promising investment and export projects of the republic.

It is planned today to sign a cooperation agreements between the Government of Buryatia and Zheldorremmash JSC and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI).

The Head of the Republic of Buryatia will take part in the business breakfast of Sberbank “New economic agenda: what, how, who?”. German Gref will be the moderator of the event. Federal ministers, top managers, governors are invited to participate.

The program also includes a visit to the Russian-Japanese business dialogue site, participation in the panel session “Energy Panel” and a plenary session where Russian President Vladimir Putin, French President Emmanuel Macron, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe are expected to give a speech.


 “The forum is an opportunity to solve many issues in a short time, meet with representatives of both authorities and business and discuss the maximum number of issues that we’re interested in at the one and the same platform: funding of various programs, solving environmental and social issues, attracting investments to the republic”, - the Head of Buryatiacommented.
