15 best practices of ASI for socio-economic development of Russian regions will be introduced in Buryatia

The Republic of Buryatia concluded two agreements with the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) including the introduction of the best practices for social and economic development of Russian regions on the territory of the republic. The cooperation documents were signed today by the Head of Buryatia Aleksey Tsydenov and Svetlana Chupsheva, General Director,at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum-2018.

The agreement contains the key areas of cooperation that will contribute to the improvement of the investment climate, the development of social and professional mobility of young specialists and teams in the sphere of small and medium-sized businesses and in the social sphere including through the implementation of social projects and initiatives in the Republic of Buryatia.

The second agreement stipulates the introduction of successful projects and initiatives in the republic within the framework of the strategic initiative of the Agency aimed at social and economic development which proved to be effective in other Russian regions and municipalities.

The list of successful practices selected by the Government of Buryatia for implementation in the republic includes 15 projects in the social and transport spheres, housing and communal services, energy and production sector. For example, construction of the modern automated bio-boiler room, modernization of the centralized system of cold water supply and water disposal, creation of the system for processing and utilization of solid household waste, creation of the modern SHW processing system, municipal production cooperation unit, traditions of folk culture that can be touched.

After the signing ceremony, the Head of Buryatia thanked the staff of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives and personally Svetlana Chupsheva for cooperation.

“Under your guidance, we made a big step forward, improved by 35 positions in the ranking of regions (National rating of investment attractiveness of Russian regions). But the important thing is not the place in the rating, but how our people and the business sphere feel. Your workis the basis for the development of economy of all regions. We’ll cooperate further. We have a lot of work ahead of us”, - Aleksey Tsydenov said.

Cooperation between Buryatia and ASI is of a systemic nature. In 2017, in the capital of the republic the Strategic Session was held with the participation of the ASI team on enhancing the investment attractiveness of the republic. The developed recommendations formed the basis of the Roadmap for improving the investment and business climate in Buryatia for 2017-2018.
