The line of communication goes along the route Sosnovo-Ozerskoe - Romanovka - production site "Khiagda"


August 20, a school in the village of Romanovka Bauntovskiy Evenkiskiy district will have access to the Internet. The communication line, which is being constructed, will make it possible to connect to the Network other neighboring settlements of Eravninsky district. They are Shiring, Ising, and Gund.

The construction of a fiber-optic communication line along the Sosnovo-Ozerskoe-Romanovka-Khiagda production site is a part of the state-owned Rosatom corporation and the government of Buryatia agreement on cooperation. It was signed within the framework of the XXI St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

Due to the new line of communication, the Internet will be availiable to the pupils of the school in the village of Romanovka in the Bauntovskiy Evenkiskiy district. According to Rostelecom, the communication line will allow to connect to the Internet in the near future the following settlements of the Eravninsky district: Shiring, Ising, Gund.

Also, the construction of a branch line from the communication line at the Romanovka-Bagdarin site will enable the regional center of the Bauntovskiy Evenkiskiy district to connect to the Internet via a fiber-optic communication line.

According to the Ministry's statistics, 19 out of 21 rural district centers now have access to the Internet through fiber-optic communication lines. Wired broadband Internet access services are provided in 207 localities, including Ulan-Ude, with 806,800 inhabitants.

Bauntovskiy and Okinskiy districts, which differ in their remoteness, complex mountainous terrain and low population density, still do not have terrestrial internet communication.
